In a few weeks, I’ll be turning 52. And at this stage of life, taking proper care of the skin on my face isn’t optional anymore: it’s a priority. Your face is the part of your body that will show the first signs of aging, whether you like it or not.
When I launched Dapper & Groomed back in 2013, I was 39. Over the past decade-plus, I’ve tested a huge number of skincare products for men. As I’ve got older, my focus has naturally shifted toward anti-aging routines that are realistic, consistent, and built around products that genuinely work. Skincare is personal. What works for me won’t necessarily work exactly the same way for everyone: skin type, age, lifestyle, and even climate all play a role. That said, today I want to share my own daily anti-aging morning routine, built around a brand I’ve trusted for years: Brickell.
Brickell has developed an impressive range of men’s skincare products, with a strong focus on natural ingredients, research, and thoughtful formulation. Rather than trying to cover everything they offer, I want to keep things simple here.
What follows are the exact Brickell products I personally use in my own daily anti-aging morning routine, the ones that have earned a permanent place in my bathroom.
- Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
- Avoid smoking — it has a direct impact on skin aging.
- Reduce alcohol consumption where possible.
- Start a skincare routine early, then move to targeted anti-aging products from 35–40+.
Step 1: Anti-Aging Face Wash
Every good routine starts with a proper cleanse. If your skin isn’t clean, everything you apply afterward is less effective. Brickell’s Redefining Anti-Aging Face Wash is one I genuinely enjoy using every morning. It cleans deeply without stripping the skin, which is crucial as you get older.
What I notice straight away is how clean and fresh my skin feels ,not tight, not dry, just balanced. On mornings when I use it consistently, my skin looks brighter and more awake. Some days, it honestly makes me feel like I’ve rolled the clock back a few years.
Key ingredients like hyaluronic acid help maintain hydration, while MSM and geranium support clearer, more even-looking skin. It’s one of those face washes that feels like it’s doing more than just “washing your face”.
- Hyaluronic Acid – Attracts and retains moisture to keep skin hydrated.
- MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) – Helps reduce pigmentation and supports clearer skin.
- Geranium – Natural antiseptic that removes excess oil and impurities.
Step 2: Protein Peptides Booster (Serum)
Once your skin is clean and dry, this is where things really level up. The Protein Peptides Booster is one of my favourite Brickell products and a product I think makes a visible difference when used consistently. I apply a few drops every morning before my moisturiser, and it’s become non-negotiable in my routine.
Protein peptides help support collagen production, which naturally declines as we age. The texture is light, it absorbs quickly, and it doesn’t interfere with whatever you apply on top.
Used daily, it helps soften fine lines, improves skin texture, and gives your skin a firmer, healthier look over time. Brickell recently switched to a glass bottle with a dropper, which makes application easy and feels more premium too.
If you’re serious about anti-aging, this step is a game-changer.
- Protein Peptides – Support collagen production and improve skin firmness.
Step 3: Moisturizer – Gel or Cream?
This is where personal preference really comes into play. Brickell offers two excellent options, and I’ve used both extensively.
Rejuvenating Anti-Aging Gel Moisturiser
If you prefer something lightweight, the gel moisturiser is a great option : especially if you’re in your 30s or early 40s, or if you simply dislike heavier creams.
It absorbs quickly, feels fresh on the skin, and delivers instant hydration without any greasiness. I use it regularly, particularly on warmer days. The only minor downside is that very dry or mature skin might want a bit more richness.
- Vitamin C – Boosts collagen production and evens skin tone.
- MSM – Helps reduce age spots and pigmentation.
- Protein Peptides – Promote firmer, younger-looking skin.
Resurfacing Anti-Aging Face Cream (My Personal Favourite)
If you’re in your late 40s or beyond, this is the one I’d personally recommend.
The Resurfacing Anti-Aging Face Cream is, quite honestly, one of the best daytime anti-aging creams I’ve used in over 13 years of reviewing men’s skincare. It’s thicker than the gel but absorbs surprisingly fast, leaving the skin deeply hydrated for hours.
My skin feels smoother, firmer, and noticeably more comfortable throughout the day. There’s no heaviness, no shine, just a healthy, well-rested look. If your skin is starting to feel drier or more tired than it used to, this cream makes a real difference.
- Vitamin C – Brightens skin and helps protect against UV damage.
- MSM – Calms inflammation and supports smoother skin.
- Borage Oil – Deeply nourishes dry and aging skin.
Step 4: Eye Cream (Don’t Skip This)
The eye area is usually the first place to show aging ( fine lines, puffiness, dark circles) so skipping eye cream is a mistake.
Brickell’s Restoring Eye Cream is excellent. It’s thicker than a roll-on or gel, but it works. I gently pat it in every morning (and in the evening too).
It absorbs well, doesn’t sit on the skin, and over time it helps reduce the tired look that can creep in: especially if, like me, you’ve had a few too many late nights over the years.
- Matrixyl 3000 – Peptides that help reduce wrinkles and boost collagen.
- Hyaluronic Acid – Deeply hydrates delicate eye-area skin.
- Caffeine – Reduces puffiness and dark circles.
Final Thoughts
It’s never too late to start an anti-aging skincare routine but consistency is everything. You don’t need dozens of products; you need the right ones, used daily.
For me, Brickell offers exactly that: well-formulated, effective tools that help my skin look fresher, brighter, and healthier as I move through my 50s. Aging is inevitable looking tired and neglected doesn’t have to be.
