Packaging & Build Quality

Let’s start with the packaging. The Kangaroo Sling arrives in a simple, brown envelope-style package. It’s super minimalist, trendy, and perfectly aligned with ADD1D’s understated aesthetic. I love that — no unnecessary plastic, no flashy branding, just a clean, thoughtful presentation.

The one I received is in black, and before even talking about the design, I have to mention the build quality, because ADD1D has done something remarkable here. The fabric is a 900D water-resistant material, and it feels incredibly premium to the touch. It has this textured surface that not only looks refined but also feels durable — like it’s built to last.

The logo on the front is smart and stylish, perfectly positioned without being too loud. The zippers deserve a special mention too: they’re smooth, solid, and built with quality hardware. I’ve tested plenty of sling bags where the zips felt fragile or jammed easily — but that’s not the case here. These are tough, precise, and glide effortlessly.

Even the lightweight buckle shows how much attention ADD1D pays to detail. It’s beautifully designed, stylish, and sturdy. Every part of the Kangaroo Sling feels engineered to perfection. You simply cannot complain about the quality— this is an ultra-premium piece from top to bottom.

Design & Functionality

The design of the ADD1D Kangaroo Sling is simply stunning. Honestly, it wouldn’t look out of place coming from Denmark or Sweden — it has that timeless, effortlessly chic, and minimalist Scandinavian vibe. The black version I received is especially elegant; it’s completely matte, which makes it incredibly easy to match with any outfit. Whether you’re dressed smart for a meeting or casual for a weekend walk, this bag just works.

Comfort-wise, it’s excellent. You can wear it on the front or on the back, and it always feels light and well balanced. The strap adjusts easily, and the shape hugs your body naturally. I’d give the design a solid 10/10 — but where the Kangaroo Sling truly shines is in its functionality.

Let’s start with the front pocket — it comes with a built-in retractable keychain, and it’s genuinely practical. It’s long enough for you to open your door without removing your keys from the pocket, which is such a clever touch. Inside that pocket, I usually keep my phone, earbuds, and a couple of pens, but there’s definitely space for more.

The middle compartment is surprisingly spacious. You can easily fit an action camera, a diary, a Nintendo Switch, cables, or passports. The internal layout is well thought-out, with smaller organiser pockets inside to keep things tidy.

At the back, there’s a hidden pocket, perfect for your keys, wallet, or even a small EDC flashlight — the kind of stuff you want to keep secure but still within reach.

Now, here’s one of my favourite parts: between the front and middle sections, there’s an expandable compartment held together with strong Velcro. When opened, it reveals elastic straps that can hold larger items — for example, a book or a water bottle. Again, it’s simple but brilliantly executed.

For those who carry a tablet, you can also buy the optional ADD1D tablet sleeve, which fits perfectly inside the middle compartment. I’ve tested it with an iPad, and it’s a seamless match.

In short, this sling is as versatile as a Swiss knife — compact, functional, and designed for real life. I absolutely love it.

Daily Life & Final Thoughts

The Kangaroo Sling from ADD1D is honestly incredible. It’s now part of my daily life, and I absolutely love it. It’s super stylish, beautifully made, and so practical that I can’t imagine leaving home without it. It has become part of both my outfit and my routine — whether I’m heading out for a coffee, a school run, or a day in the city.
