Brickell is not the first brand most men think about when they talk about fragrances.

That is understandable. Brickell is mostly known for men’s skincare. Face washes, moisturisers, eye creams, anti-ageing products. That is where the brand built its reputation, and that is probably why its fragrances are still flying slightly under the radar.

But after wearing both Eminent and Accolade, I think that is a shame.

These are two very different fragrances, and they show two completely different sides of Brickell. One is fresh, clean and easy to wear. The other is warmer, sexier and more suited to evenings. And if you are trying to choose between the two for summer, the answer depends less on which one is “better” and more on how you want to wear your fragrance.

For me, Eminent is the obvious daytime summer fragrance. It is fresh, marine and sits very much in that modern blue fragrance category. It is easy to wear, clean without feeling boring, and ideal if you want something that works during the day without becoming too much.

Accolade, however, is the one I personally find more attractive. It is smoother, warmer and much sexier. Brickell Accolade feels warmer, smoother and more sensual, making it my preferred choice for summer evenings.

Accolade is different.

Where Eminent is fresh and marine, Accolade is warmer, smoother and more sensual. It feels more dressed up. Not formal exactly, but definitely more seductive.

This is the one I would wear in the evening.

For me, Accolade has that quality a good summer evening fragrance needs. It is not heavy in the way some autumn or winter fragrances can be, but it has enough warmth and depth to feel attractive when the sun starts to go down.

This is the fragrance for a terrace dinner. A summer evening walk. A beach club party. A drink outside after a hot day. It has that relaxed but sexy character that works beautifully when you want to smell good without shouting.

The easiest way to compare these two fragrances is not to ask which one is better. They are built for different moments.

Eminent is fresher, cleaner and more obviously suited to daytime wear. It has that blue fragrance character many men already know and enjoy: marine, crisp, modern and easy to wear. It is the one I would choose for hot days, holidays, casual weekends and daily summer use.

Accolade has more warmth and sensuality. It feels smoother, more grown-up and more suited to evenings. This is the one I would wear for a summer meal outside, drinks on a terrace, or a night when I want something a little more attractive than simply fresh.

That is why this comparison works. They do not really compete with each other. Eminent gives you freshness. Accolade gives you charm.

My honest choice

If I had to choose one for pure summer practicality, I would say Eminent. It is the safer recommendation, especially for men who already enjoy blue fragrances.

But personally, I prefer Accolade.

It feels sexier to me. Not loud. Not heavy. Just warmer, smoother and more interesting on the skin. It is the fragrance I would be more excited to wear in the evening, especially during summer.

For most men, Eminent will be the easier summer choice.

For me, Accolade is the more memorable one.
