Manscaped Launches the Lawn Mower Ultra Gen 6 — Here’s What’s New
MANSCAPED has launched its latest premium groin and body hair trimmer, The Lawn Mower Ultra Gen 6, with a new metal design, upgraded blades, colour display and the longest battery life yet in the Lawn Mower range.
Priced at $119.99, the Ultra Gen 6 sits firmly at the top of MANSCAPED's body grooming lineup and represents a considerable step up from the much simpler Lawn Mower Go I reviewed recently.
I was impressed by the Go as an affordable, compact trimmer specifically for the groin, but the new Ultra Gen 6 is clearly aimed at someone looking for a much more premium all-round grooming tool.
And I'll be able to find out how much of an upgrade it really is soon, as I'll be reviewing the Lawn Mower Ultra Gen 6 myself in the next few weeks.
What's New With the Lawn Mower Ultra Gen 6?
The biggest change is immediately obvious: MANSCAPED has moved to a premium metal chassis, giving the Ultra Gen 6 a more substantial feel than previous Lawn Mower models.
There is also a new high-resolution colour display showing battery information, built-in tutorials and reminders when it is time to replace the blade.
The cutting system combines two interchangeable heads: an upgraded SkinSafe ceramic trimming blade and a bidirectional foil shaving head. The foil head is designed to follow the contours of the body for a closer finish, while MANSCAPED says the motor maintains consistent RPMs as the battery level falls.
Length adjustment comes from a fixed 1.4mm comb and three adjustable combs covering 3mm to 13mm.
Battery life has also increased to up to 100 minutes, making this the longest-lasting Lawn Mower yet. Charging is available through USB-C or wireless charging.
Other features include an IPX7 waterproof design, travel lock, storage pouch and a dual-temperature LED spotlight to make those harder-to-see areas a little easier to navigate.
New Ball Care Products, Too
The trimmer isn't the only launch.
MANSCAPED is also introducing three new or updated products designed specifically for below-the-waist skincare.
Ball Scrub ($12.99) uses pineapple extracts and volcanic pumice to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin and trimmed hair.
Ball Shave Gel ($12.99) is a clear shaving gel designed to provide lubrication while still letting you see exactly where you're shaving — something that certainly makes sense when working around such a delicate area.
Finally, Ball Deo ($12.99) has been reformulated to help with odour, chafing and ingrown hairs, and is available in Persevere, Refined and Unscented versions.
The products will also appear in updated versions of MANSCAPED's Perfect Package, Performance Package and Platinum Package bundles.
Available Now in the US and Canada
The MANSCAPED Lawn Mower Ultra Gen 6 is available now in the United States and Canada, with wider international availability expected to follow.
It certainly looks like a significant upgrade on paper. The metal body, foil shaving head, colour display and 100-minute battery are particularly interesting, but with any body trimmer, specifications only tell part of the story.
How comfortably it actually trims the groin — and how well that new foil head works around the more delicate bits — matters much more.
